We are so excited and honored to say that 2020 marks our fifteen year anniversary of inspiring and empowering children nationwide. In such a crazy, unpredictable year, it feels awesome to have something to celebrate. Although we have had to postpone and modify many events this year, we still THANK YOU for your incredible support and for helping us continue to actualize our mission and empower kiddos all over!!

Because of YOU, we were able to kick-start our year-end giving campaign with an amazing #GivingTuesday in which we were able to raise over $2,000 in one day! YAHOOO! However, our work isn’t over; we want to finish off 2020 and ring in 2021 with a BANG! In order to commemorate our 15 years of Count On Me, our goal is to raise $15,000 for 15 years! Help us continue to empower and spread smiles to all children and DONATE NOW!

Count On Me Family Foundation is made up of individuals dedicated to helping others. From our fabulous volunteers to our Board to our small and committed staff, everyone comes together to have fun while helping those in need! Come join our team!!

The Count On Me Family Foundation was formed in October of 2005 as an avenue for Shannon Mora and husband at the time, Jim, to give back to the community and focus on a passion for and dedication to helping children.

Shannon was involved with Special Olympics at an early age when she and her family cheered on her older sister, Whittney, at local competitions. Whittney's joy in participating was contagious, and Shannon became hooked on helping empower children.

Having had the opportunity to live many places throughout her life, Shannon recognized the need to help under-served youth that is within every community. Inspired by Whittney’s journey and her own aspiration to give back with a powerful and meaningful platform, the Count On Me Family Foundation was created with the goal of helping all children realize their potential and achieve their dreams. Whittney’s passing in late 2108 reinvigorated Count On Me’s motivation to honor her legacy.

Count On Me provides joyful programs that empower and inspire children, no matter their circumstance. To Learn about Our Team and our Board of Directors, please visit our Who We Are page.

Count On Me Family Foundation strives to provide meaningful, impactful programs that empower, instill confidence, and bring joy to children and children’s organizations.

Programs

Count On Me Family Foundation's passion is to enhance the lives of children in need whether they are medically fragile, economically disadvantaged, or developmentally challenged. With this in mind, the Foundation has developed individual unique programs that reach children directly and positively impact their lives.

Our flagship program, the Count On Me Holiday Shops, delivers a pop-up shop in children’s hospitals so that children who spend their holidays hospital bound have the opportunity to “shop” for gifts for their loved ones. The Count On Me team of staff and volunteers transforms a room at the hospital into a winter wonderland to provide a one-on-one, empowering shopping experience as kiddos pick, wrap, and decorate gifts from a wide array of items. Children are encouraged to express their creativity and make their own decisions - something that is often taken from them when hospitalized! To learn more, visit our Holiday Shops page.

Community Partners

Count On Me Family Foundation believes in partnering with non-profit organizations that improve the lives of children. Through these partnerships we create a synergy which allows us to do more to assist children in need and at risk. From our signature partners like Special Olympics and Boys & Girls Clubs to smaller children's charities, we have found that when we work together we are able to accomplish greater goals that empower even more children.

“By believing in me, Count On Me helped me overcome shyness, and gave me my start as a public speaker at their golf tournaments. This encouraged me to become an advocate for people with disabilities, which has led to my amazing life representing many organizations. I love how [Count On Me]creates opportunities for children to experience new things, and bring joy to those that are hospitalized. [Count On Me] unites us, and shows us that all people are valuable, and dreams are possible.”
