Count On Me Holiday ShopsHoliday Shop at Seattle Children's

On Tuesday, May 8th, on the Oncology Floor at Seattle Children's - young patients shopped and picked out presents to give to their mom's for mother's day. Many of our young shoppers are in the super cool viral video that's been making the rounds on YouTube! (See the link below!) We are proud to partner with Go 4 the Goal for this year’s Mother's Day Shop and we thank Michael's Toyota for their generous support.
You might recognize some of these young superstar shoppers as well as our wonderful volunteers and the fantastic staff at Seattle Children’s. Everyone comes together to create a special day of celebration where young patients are empowered by having the ability to give.

Count On Me Holiday Shops were created to empower children in long term care in the hospital around the holiday season and Mother’s Day by allowing them to “shop” for their families, without ever having to leave the hospital. Young patients are able to select gifts for their parents or guardians. Children unable to leave their rooms are visited by volunteers with carts loaded down with gifts so that they may participate as well.
Foundation volunteers assist all of the children in wrapping their gifts with festive paper, bows, gift tags and writing cards for the special people in their lives. It is a well-received program and is enjoyed by the children, their families, the hospital staff and our volunteers!
