The Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation and
Lucky Strike Bowling Lanes and Lounge Strike It Up Again
on April 22, 2010 Raising More Than $25,000 for
Children's Charities in Seattle

More than 220 people came out to join in the fun at the Second Annual Bowling Benefit Bash hosted again by Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge in Bellevue to raise funds for the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation and local children's charities in Seattle. The Bowling Benefit Bash, sold out for its second consecutive year, featured fantastic food, fun and friends to benefit the Count on Me Family Foundation whose mission is to support charities and children's organizations in helping children improve their lives. Special Olympics and Boys & Girls Clubs are two of the many, many charities supported through the Foundation's grants.

Friends of the Foundation joined Jim and Shannon Mora to root on 12 teams bowling for the title of tournament champion. "Going Postal", a team from Postal Express, with celebrity bowlers U of W Head Coach Steve Sarkisian and Seattle Seahawks Defensive End Nick Reed reigned over the tournament, being crowned champion at the end of the evening, winning bragging rights until next year's Bash. Tony Ventrella then KJR’s Dave ‘Softy’ Mahler, along with Shannon and Jim Mora emceed the evening’s events.

The festivities included bidding on silent auction items, mingling with a host of celebrities from the football and entertainment worlds, enjoying complimentary beverages and delicious appetizers while either viewing the bowling battles or enjoying the DJ. The highlights of the night were the chance to win your very own Lucky Strike Party for 16 including 16 one hour unlimited game cards for the Power Play Arcade, and a chance to go one-on-one with Detlef Schrempf, former UW Basketball Great, 16 year NBA Star & 3 Time All-Pro in the Power Play Arcade, to win a full-size electronic basketball arcade game.

Another fun draw and highlight of the evening was the celebrity bowling as each sponsored lane was matched with one to two celebrity players. Celebrities included former NFL players Warren Moon, Hugh Millen, Mark Bruener, and recently retired Pat Kerney. Also having fun at the Bash was former NBA standout Detlef Schrempf, University of Washington Head Coach Steve Sarkesian, Coaches Nick Holt and Doug Nussmier. Seattle Seahawks players and coaching staff also headlined the list including: Matt Hasselbeck, Lofa Tatupu, Lawyer Milloy, Jordan Babineaux, Marcus Trufant, Josh Wilson , Kelly Jennings, Colin Cole, Deion Branch, John Carlson, Julius Jones, Craig Terrill, Justin Forsett, Nick Reed, Deon Butler, Jamar Adams, Gus Bradley, Dan Quinn, Jeff Ulbrich, and David Hawthorne.

The Second Annual Bowling Benefit Bash, hosted by Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge, raised more than $25,000 for local children's charities programs including: Special Olympics's Young Athletes Program, the Bellevue Boys & Girls Club Triple Play Program, & the Jim Mora Flag Football League (for underprivileged youth), and the 2010 Holiday Shop at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.
