The Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation Announces 2010 Grant Recipients

The Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation awarded $66,300 in grants to seventeen organizations in Washington and Georgia for the 2010 grant cycle. Funds for this year’s grants were raised through the annual Jim Mora Celebrity Golf Classic, the Lucky Strike Bowling Benefit Bash, Ladies Night Out event and generous donations from other individuals and corporations.

“As always, we would like to acknowledge the continued support of our event sponsors and friends of the Foundation, who make the grant cycles possible from year to year,” said Shannon Mora, Vice President of the Foundation.  “The caliber of the grants we received this year was outstanding, making it very difficult to decide which programs to fund.  We continued to focus our efforts on organizations best aligned with our mission, and are very pleased to support these 17 amazing organizations through this year’s grants.”

See below for the seventeen charities receiving partnership grants this year. The Foundation is also partnering with many of the applicants on in-kind donations and outreach, bringing the total support of the Foundation efforts to over 13 children’s organizations in Washington, and 6 children’s charities in Georgia.

The Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation created in 2005, is the charitable foundation of Head Coach Jim Mora and his wife, Shannon. The Foundation award grants to organizations whose mission coincides with ours: to support children in a low socio-economic background, who are mentally and physically challenged and children at risk. Our goal is to empower these organizations to help children by building and instilling confidence, encouraging health and wellness, fostering learning opportunities and using the sport of football as a springboard to talk about life and life lessons.
