Every year, the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation hosts programs in Georgia and Washington states that afford children with low socio-economic backgrounds, mental and physical challenges and who are at risk with experiences that help them reach their potential. These programs take place in both states; for information on programs in your state, click on the Washington or Georgia page.

The Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation Holiday Shop
The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Egleston campus is home to many young children with serious illnesses. During the holiday season, the Jim Mora Count On Me Family Foundation seeks to keep the spirit alive by giving patients the opportunity to shop for gifts for their families, right there at the hospital.
At the Holiday Shop, each child is able to select two items for their parents or guardians. Foundation and hospital volunteers assist them in wrapping their gifts with festive paper, bows, gift tags and writing cards.
In addition to the shop, the Foundation donates items to the hospital for their playrooms.

Family Fitness Video Projectwith HealthMPowers
Jim and Shannon Mora and their family took part in a family fitness video in partnership with HealthMPowers, formerly Kids’ Health. The Moras were the “featured (celebrity)” family on the video, which is available for HealthMPowers’ schools in metro Atlanta, Ga. as well as other selected organizations. The DVD is designed to help families find fun and easy ways to get moving at home, at work, at school or in the community.
Under the direction of HealthMPowers’ Executive Director Christi Kay, the Moras demonstrate activities families can do together - from a “commercial” competition (exercising while television commercials are on during viewing hours) to using canned food to strength train and get a quick upper body workout at home. The DVD contains six different exercise sequences along with tips to increase family physical activity and decrease screen time. For more information on the video, go to www.Healthmpowers.org.
