The Count On Me Family Foundation was formed in October of 2005 as an avenue for Shannon Mora and husband at the time, Jim, to give back to the community and focus on a passion for and dedication to helping children.

Shannon was involved with Special Olympics at an early age when she and her family cheered on her older sister, Whittney, at local competitions. Whittney's joy in participating was contagious, and Shannon became hooked on helping empower children.

Having had the opportunity to live many places throughout her life, Shannon recognized the need to help under-served youth that is within every community. Inspired by Whittney’s journey and her own aspiration to give back with a powerful and meaningful platform, the Count On Me Family Foundation was created with the goal of helping all children realize their potential and achieve their dreams. Whittney’s passing in late 2108 reinvigorated Count On Me’s motivation to honor her legacy.

Count On Me provides joyful programs that empower and inspire children, no matter their circumstance. To Learn about Our Team and our Board of Directors, please visit our Who We Are page.
